E. Dehillerin

I saw something about this store months ago and it just so happens that we are staying a short walk away from it so I knew I had to check it out.

After much debate about who would go, Greg and I were the only ones who made the walk. Greg assured me I had no room in my luggage to bring anything home. I was not so convinced.

Opened in 1820, it’s a family business that inspired Williams Sonoma. Julia Child was said to have shopped here.

From the shelving, to the ladders to the upper shelves, to the way they did pricing it was like stepping way back in time. Also the variety of sizes of things they had from super tiny to giant was mind blowing. I could seriously outfit my kitchen from here. As Greg predicted, I left empty handed. Mostly because carrying on much of this wasn’t an option.

Someday l will be back to buy. 🙂
